As a winner of the Design Bugs Out competition we are now creating a super-hygienic bedside cabinet for the NHS with manufacturing partners Bristol Maid. This win is particularly exciting because we have the opportunity to work on a policy-level initiative.
Prototypes of the cabinet are due to be launched in seven NHS hospitals in April 2009. Design Bugs Out is run by the Design Council in response to the Department of Health’s brief to procure innovative designs for products that can help tackle ‘ healthcare associated infections ’ such as MRSA. |
