We are experienced at integrating electronics within product design programmes through all the relevant stages; from initial feasibility and technology selection, through schematic capture, prototyping and production implementation. Our specialised electronics and software team are experienced in a wide range of projects including: handheld consumer and industrial products, audio systems, power supply and high current systems, security systems and test equipment.

In addition to our design services, we also offer a manufacturing capability for client specified electronic products. Facilities at KD’s Technology Centre include SMT pick and place equipment with fast set up times to enable us to support production volumes of tens-off to several thousand, with higher volumes accommodated through partnerships with approved CEMs.  As such, we provide clients with a fast turn around manufacturing facility for lower volume production requirements.

By considering electronics development in parallel with the industrial and mechanical design development stages in this way it is possible to streamline activities and optimise the design overall.
