Coronavirus and KD: An update
As we find ourselves in these fast changing and unprecedented times, with the Coronavirus outbreak impacting the health of people across the globe, our priorities remain to protect the well-being of our team, clients, partners and friends, whilst ensuring our continued ability to deliver world-class work.
From an operational position, with travel restrictions in place, the majority of our team have already moved to a model of remote working and in-person meetings have been replaced by video conference or conference calls in order to maintain the capacity and pace of project work to our clients, across the full range of our offer.
In some instances, such as research and human factors, our team have already delivered fully remote research and usability testing fieldwork, brilliantly adapting methodologies to ensure project timelines and output quality are unaffected, and our design team have successfully facilitated virtual workshops with client teams in multiple locations. We are also maintaining a core team at our Bristol HQ for those in our team building, testing and learning in our engineering labs and prototyping workshops. I believe we will see a whole swathe of new working practices emerge following these enforced flexible approaches which will result in more effective, efficient and faster collaborative working methods for us all, becoming the ‘new normal’.
Often, necessity is the mother of invention, and as such I’d encourage businesses to think about new business models, opportunities that can be leveraged and new ways of working. If you haven’t got the headspace for that, we can help.
As always, your KD point of contact will be available as usual by phone and email, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with them or myself directly (contact details at the bottom).
We will keep you updated with news from our side and in the mean time we wish good health to you and your families, and look forward to our continued successful partnership.
