The study of human factors (HF) provides essential knowledge on how people interact with products, environments and services. It plays a crucial role in the design of new products and systems, focusing on optimising efficiency, safety and satisfaction.
When developing medical devices for example, we consult with our clients to holistically consider human factors, ensuring that final products can be used safely and effectively. Our dedicated team have expert experience in contextual inquiry (CI), iterative formative usability testing, use-error analysis, instructions for use design (IFU) and summative/validation human factors studies. We are led by key international standards and FDA guidelines, and have worked within a variety of fields including advanced wound care, diabetes management, surgical instrumentation, combination drug delivery devices and connected devices.
We are proud of our award winning industrial design and engineering work and are keen to build on our success in producing devices that are safe and efficient, as well as desirable and engaging.
