Kinneir Dufort Sponsors Big Bang Bristol

“Let’s get people talking about design and STEM”

Preparations are in full swing for the first ever Big Bang Bristol to be held at the Trinity Arts Centre on 6th and 7th July: a two-day event focussing on the careers students can get involved in for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Here at KD, much of our work involves elements of STEM, specifically engineering and technology. However, many students are unaware that design is a career they can get into if studying these subjects. To hear from our design engineers how they came to study the subject, see our article in the Institute of Engineering Designers.

To showcase just how much goes into design, we will be taking a team of prototypers, marketeers and human factors engineers to the event to run an interactive activity, portraying how we take idea from concept to fruition.

We are thrilled to be a part of this event, and supporting local initiatives to get children interested in careers they may have never discovered.
