Talking equality in design at BDF
Birmingham Design Festival is set to kickstart the summer with a celebration of local, national and international design in the heart of the city, and we’re thrilled to be there.
Held over three days, throughout central Birmingham, the festival gives attendees the chance to get inspired and increase their insight into the industry, thanks to a wide range of speakers, drop in sessions, exhibitions and pop ups.
You can join us on Saturday 8th June as our CEO, Merle Hall, explores equality in design and gender disparity, on the BDF Conversation panel, curated by Kerning the Gap.
The Conversation aims to explore gender disparity within the design industry and will bring together a diverse group of speakers to reveal their experiences of gender equality and representation of women in the industry.
The panellists will explore how we can action real change on a broader scale in a world where only 11% of Creative Directors are women. Merle will sit in discussion with co-founder of SheSays and Chief Creative Officer at Mr President, Laura Jordan Bambach, Creative Director Sweta Pathak, Designer Craig Oldham and Chief Talent Officer of McCann Worldgroup Ollie Purdom.
If you would like to join in the conversation and book your place, or simply find out more about the festival, you can do so here.
